Getting things done right

Getting things done right is a new skill I am learning these days. I never used to understand why people used to shout at others. I felt it is just a dominating part of them. However I understand it is just a desire to get things done right. Now this can be done only if the person to whom the work is assigned takes complete ownership of that work. Most of the people have attitude that only if his or her leader gives more importance to the work they will do it correctly and on time. However when they actually take ownership of that work they take care of it exactly like they take care of themselves.

The Choice

Every thing is there in life. I have all good things I can have to live a happy life. Good house, good roomies, good friends, good job, what else can someone think of. I never thought I will have every thing. Something might go wrong but I know I can fix it in another five minutes. I know that flexible I am. Because I always keep thinking how can I come up with something positive from any situation I come across. I know where I go wrong. I will have a little headache accepting my mistake. Well accept it or not I always want to get it right. And positive that leads to very flexible mind.

I have a choice to be made. Continue living this life and being happy. You can call it a comfort zone. The choice is either I break it or continue living in it. I know if I continue in it I will face kind of same problems. And I will know exactly what I should do to handle them. And I will keep improving and make my life simpler. As predictable as it is.

Or I come out of zone. Meet new challenges, come out of my fears, get ready to face all surprises of life.

I remember in every New Year, new class of programming I have written a program to write hello world. I used to wonder do I again have to write the same program. I feel life is same we always have to start from zero. no matter whatever you have it cant help you much. What is important is what you have learn from life. Keep learning, come out of comfort zone and life will lead you. Dream big and life will help you getting there. This is the choice I have to make either I continue spending my time in all these comforts, or I start working on my dreams and make difference.

The perfect path

To be inspired is just like to be in passion with something you just can’t wait to show the world that you hold it. I was inspired to live a perfect life, to follow a perfect path.
I thought perfect path is to never go wrong. However now I realize that the perfect path is to listen to our heart and go wrong. If you don’t make mistakes life will be all the same. You will become one of those most predictable persons whom I used to gaze in my school days and wonder why they are so much predictable. I should say, in my school days I was ready to do mistake, may be to slap someone or to speak up the things I wanted to speak at that very moment. I was ready to take all my chances of winning and loosing. So bad now I can not afford to take my chances even for small mistakes. I just made myself to be destined to walk on such a perfect path that did not let me even understand things around me completely. But to do mistake is to learn, to experience, and to truly live that very moment.

My journey to UK

12/07/07 , Thursday, It was a normal day. as usual I was unable to catch 8:30 bus to office. Anyways there was not much work to do. I was reading for SOA certification. My RM, Luke came to my workstation and said there is an opportunity for you to go to UK. However it’s not confirmed yet, and he told me about new work in UK. He asked me whether I am open for it. I was astonished with sudden opportunity coming in my way, I was not very experienced and there were many other people who could have taken this opportunity. I had never travel by air even in India, and he was asking me to go to UK? Oh God…I was terrified. I don’t know how I managed to say yes to handle all unknown projects. Somehow I said myself I will do it. And I kept telling it. Somewhere I felt I am lacking for confidence. My friends Nitin and Vijay, they congratulated me, I said its not confirmed yet. Suddenly I realized nothing was confirmed in my life. Life will go wherever I will take it. It was my decision to say yes and to take the responsibility.

Next five days I thought they won’t confirm me and I will be out of all this uncertain future.

16/07/07 , Monday, around 6 to 6:30 PM my PM Munira said I need to bring my Passport tomorrow. At last I thought..so its confirmed. Suddenly I felt I am sinking into a huge sea of tension. I knew nothing just nothing about how to apply for VISA, and process and even about the projects I was going to work on.
I applied for VISA and next tension was getting it on Saturday and flying on Sunday. The LDD Paul said its not possible, and we are expecting your VISA on Monday. I thought I won’t be able to travel. VISA came on Tuesday, And I got travel tickets of BA. That day I got so many instructions from my friends in office and also from my RM, I was thinking even my parents never gave me so many instructions.

Vijay booked a taxy from thiruvanmiyur to Chennai Airport. My flight was 8 am in the morning. I woke up at 3 am and by 4 am Nitin and Vijay were there to take me to airport. I was so much scared I never went to airport before. Well they were with me so was relieved a lot. We waited there and after some half an hour I checked in my baggage. I said bye to both of them and started towards my first international journey towards London.

just another day

17-12-06, Sunday, Besant Nagar railway reservation counter, Chennai

I again cancelled my tickets to home as my pl has again rejected my leaves anyways I dint have any problem because he has explained it to me properly. I was feeling bad but no problem. It was a big long line for reservation. I hate to get into line but as there was no other option I filled the forms and started waiting in the queue. I was wearing a white t shirt full sleeves a stall on it and black trousers. it was a littile hatake kind of outfit especially in Chennai. after some time i called up my sister. she was very happy to talk to me and she was craking all funny jokes. I was laughing like anything we talked about 1/2 an hour we talked about my yesterdays tournament, then I told her today is John's birthday. My sis is a big fan of john so she was very happy to here that. After some time I called up Pankaj he was as usual in the mood of pulling my legs. I was talking about his monthly rental bill of phone he said he never calculated and I was a littile astonished by his answer. anyway my queue was getting shorter and finally I got a chair to sit and then a lady who was just next to me asked me where did I buy my trousers. she said she wanted to buy them for her girl. I said I got it from Nagpur. she said "ok I wont go to Nagpur to buy them" and we started conversing. she asked me what I am doing and all those formal kind of questions. basically the thing I noticed was she was impressed with my personality and wanted to talk to me on whatever she knows about software industry. their style of recritement and all. at last I cancelled my tickets and she gave me a beautiful smile offered her hand and said "nice to meet you" I replied back nice to meet you too and headed for dance class.
